The client brief was to design and create a beautiful space in the garden linking the lawned area to a split level entertaining decked platform which in turn led to protected woodland.

I wanted to create a flow that leads into and around the garden working with a combination of herbaceous planting, grasses, evergreens, woodland plants and trees.

Within the circular clearing we created areas seating, for plants with colour, textures in varying heights, providing beautiful all year-round interest between the meandering pathways within, capturing the spirit of the woodland.

The client spending months abroad in the Algarve particularly wanted a low maintenance garden, a garden he could entertain and relax in….

This beautiful apartment within a large converted period property provided a narrow two-sided wrap around garden. The brief was to restore and enhance an existing Mediterranean style exterior. By cutting back years of growth, creating beautiful raised dining and seating areas and creating spaces for bespoke feature sculptures introduced throughout the garden.

Additional evergreen palmate and herbaceous planting, ornamental trees enhance the space, and a subtle lighting scheme brings the entire garden alive in the evenings and during the winter months.

The brief was to create an extensive and high-quality garden to the front and rear of this stunning period style newbuild detached property.

Immediately in front of the house a dramatic planting scheme was needed to achieve impact and divert attention from the integrated garage on one side.

To the rear the client wanted to include bespoke arbours and pergolas, a summer house with its own secluded garden, water feature to attract wildlife, a play area with plenty of lawn to kick a ball around and an attractive kitchen garden. Attached to the house an area for relaxing and entertaining and throughout, beautiful soft country house planting and trees to bring the entire scheme together, anchoring the house and garden to its location.

At the very end of the garden, to establish a woodland glade incorporating a beautiful bespoke shepherd’s hut, amongst fruit trees, meadow flowers and seasonal bulbs.
